Summary

Prospectus book, with blank leaves bound in for subscribers, for the forthcoming Hebrew Bible (Minḥah ḥadashah; Karlsruhe 1805, in this manuscript, printed by the brothers Seeligman and Joseph Ettlinger, and editor Pelta Moses Epstein (1745-1821), and bound with approbations for the edition (Jedidiah Thia Weill of Prague, in Karlsruhe, and Moses Tobias Sondheimer, in Hanau) and prospectus leaves from Joshua I. The manuscript portion records the names of the subscribers from Amsterdam, and the option of paper grade (schriftpapier, or postpapier), and surnames of subscribers include Copenhagen, Ullman, Hanau, Mannheim, and Schnitzler. Advertisement leaves printed on green ream wrapper; prospectus announcement fold-out sheet; bound in contemporary speckled cardboard; a printed title page was glued into the front board (and only visible from the verso).
